RARLAB 的 RAR for Android 是一個多合一的、原創的、免費的、簡單易用且快速的壓縮、解壓縮程式，更是一個基本款的檔案總管。
RAR for Android 能建立 RAR 及 ZIP 壓縮檔，解壓縮 RAR, ZIP, TAR, GZ, BZ2, XZ, 7z, ISO, ARJ 壓縮檔。其他支援的功能還有修復毀損的 ZIP 及 RAR 檔案、基準測試與 RARLAB 出版的 WinRAR 基準測試相容、分割檔、加密、結實壓縮、利用更多 CPU 核心來壓縮資料等等。
除了標準的 ZIP 檔案，unzip 功能更支援 ZIP 及 ZIPX 格式，附加 BZIP2, LZMA 及 PPMd 壓縮技術者。Unrar 指令能處理所有 RAR 版本的壓縮檔，包含最新的 RAR5。另外 UDF 及 ISO9660 ISO 檔案格式都能解壓縮。

v5.5.0 build 46:
Following bugs are fixed:
1. RAR could not restore the dictionary size saved in compression profile, so default size was used instead.
2. Fixed crashes when unpacking corrupt RAR archives.
3. "Checksum error" could be mistakenly reported for some valid GZIP archives.


v5.5.0 build 42:
1. Added support for PAX extended headers in TAR archives. Such headers are utilized by modern TAR tools to store high precision file times and lengthy file names.
2. If wrong password is entered when unpacking an encrypted file in RAR5 archive, RAR proposes to enter a valid password for same file again instead of aborting extraction.
3. "Information" command in previous versions did not display ZIP archive comment if comment length was less than 24 characters. Fixed now.


v5.2.0 build 33:
– Fixed crash after long pressing text in “Rename” dialog.
– Several less frequently used options moved to “General” subscreen in settings. “About RAR” moved to toolbar. New “Name encoding” option allows to specify encoding for non-English file names in non-Unicode archives, typically ZIP. Most encodings are available only from Android 4.4.
– Archiving, extraction and other commands work even if screen is turned off. WAKE_LOCK permission is added to implement it.
