【故事概要】：鹿骨市雛見澤村是一個人口未滿2000人的小村莊。此村過去曾因大壩工程遭逢遷村危機，幸而村民團結一致，阻止該工程的進行。大壩工程無限期凍結後的第5年（昭和58年），前原圭一隨著家人移居此村。圭一開朗的性格使他輕易和新學校的朋友們打成一片，然而他們和平的日子，卻在名為「綿流し祭」的祭典當天後開始產生變化。過去四年來「綿流し祭」當天都會發生一個人死亡、另一個人失蹤的事件。這也是雛見澤村裡的秘密所在。
